If this is your first time trying talk therapy or your 50th time, let’s chat!

Here’s what my version of (in-person) talk-therapy is like:

  • We talk. If you aren’t sure what to say or not say, I am trained to help us find our way!

Modalities used in session

Each person is unique and the therapeutic approach will differ. Some of the modalities that I commonly use are listed. I pull from several different modalities to meet the needs of my clients.

  • CBT helps you understand how your thoughts and actions are connected, teaching you how to change negative thoughts to feel better and cope with difficult feelings.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy helps you figure out what's working well in your life and how you can use those strengths to make things better, focusing on what you can do right now to reach your goals.

  • This approach focuses on your strengths, your voice, and your ability to grow. It creates a supportive space where you can explore what you’re feeling, understand yourself better, and build on the resilience you already have to move toward the life you want.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported therapy that helps the brain heal from distressing or overwhelming experiences. When difficult memories get “stuck,” they can continue to affect mood, relationships, and self-belief. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation and focused processing to help the brain reprocess these experiences. It it your own brain that will be doing the healing and you are the one in control.
